About UsANDREW BASSETT MANAGING PARTNER Andrew started the firm in 1986 and expanded to a partnership in 1989 since when he has been Managing Partner. He is responsible for the smooth running of the firm and for ensuring that all Partners and staff work to the highest standards in providing first class client service.
Prior to commencing in practice, he had experience in the motor trade, consultancy and ready mixed concrete followed by 15 years in the construction industry with responsibility for civil engineering, roofing, tiling and plant hire companies and divisions. In his 16 years in practice Andrew has acquired a formidable range of expertise and experience in payroll, VAT, cash flow projections, information and technology. His client portfolio includes a number of companies and professional firms whom he advises on a wide range of commercial issues. SHIRLEY-ANN WRIGHT TAX PARTNER Shirley joined the practice as tax manager in 1990 and became a Partner in 1999. She previously spent 13 years within the tax department of a large firm of Chartered accountants in Newcastle upon Tyne. Shirley specialises in all taxation services across the practice with a mission to help business and personal clients minimise their tax liabilities. Besides general tax planning she is responsible for the development of the practice.
