Accountants for Solicitors
Solicitors Accounts Rules
Solicitors have to have an annual 'audit' under the auspices of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. We have been advising solicitors with regard to their procedures and carrying out the work necessary for this report for more than 12 years and have assisted our clients with the transition through the changes. We can carry out this work in a separate engagement from any other accounting or tax work and can work alongside other accountants advising on accounts and tax matters.
However, we would emphasise that we can also advise on the financial and tax implications of partnerships, prepare annual accounts and the partnership tax returns. We also act for individual solicitors in practice whether in the partnerships for which we prepare the accounts and/or solicitors account rules reports or not.
We will discuss with you our recommendations on the reflection of future individual tax liabilities within the partnership accounts to assist with cash flow management and to measure the contribution from each partner.
